Well hello and happy Saturday sweet gorgeous! Back to school is upon us! This looks like a neat tv special coming up that will be fun and safe for the family to watch. Read on!
This photo is Will.i.am on stage at 20th Annual FIRST® Robotics Championship
Will.i.am, frontman for The Black Eyed Peas is helping to get kids across America ready to go back to school – and excited about math and science - with his TV special, “i.am.FIRST: Science is Rock & Roll” that will air on ABC August 14th from 7PM – 8PM.

The Black Eyed Peas and Willow Smith perform, and guests include Justin Bieber, Jack Black, Bono, Miranda Cosgrove, Miley Cyrus, Josh Duhamel, Britney Spears, Snoop Dogg, Justin Timberlake, Steven Tyler and FIRST founder and inventor (the Segway) Dean Kamen talk about why they’re excited about science and technology.
The one hour TV special focuses on the FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) robotics competition for high school students. This Olympiad for the mind includes team profiles and robot teams duking it out on the floor of the Edward Jones Dome in St. Louis for top honors and scholarship prizes.

Rock stars are cool, pro athletes are cool, but consider every time you use your mobile phone, laptop, HDTV, Facebook, YouTube, etc. to get the latest news and entertainment, it was a smart kid with science and tech skills that made it happen – that’s cool too. The kids with the math, science and engineerings smarts like Jeff Bezos/Amazon, Mark Zuckerberg/Facebook, and Steve Jobs/Apple grew up to be tech billionaires with careers that eclipse the wealth and influence attained by most rock stars and pro athletes.

Will.i.am invites your family to tune in on August 14th and get your kids excited about robots, science and technology.
