Pamella Roland: Fall/Winter 2013 Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week

Look created by Matin Maulawizada for Laura Mercier

Matin Maulawizada, lead makeup artist for this season’s Pamella Roland show, was inspired by the designer’s collection, a visual narrative of the history of the Tzar and Russian Court.  He developed a flawless makeup look that showcased the simplicity of women’s beauty in tandem with the “opulence of St. Petersburg.”

Flawless Face:  A fresh, “no makeup look” was key to balancing the collection’s bold accents

·         First, Matin applied Laura Mercier Foundation Primer ($32) to create the perfect canvas for makeup application.

·         Then, depending on the model’s complexion, he used Laura Mercier Crème Smooth Foundation ($50) or Laura Mercier Silk Crème Foundation ($43) to hydrate and protect the skin.

·         Next, he used Laura Mercier Secret Camouflage ($30) to perfect the skin, concealing any problem areas.

·         He applied Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder ($35) to set and finish the look.

·         To give the skin a healthy color, Matin brushed Laura Mercier Crème Cheek Colour in Blaze ($24) and Laura Mercier Second Skin Cheek Colour in Sweet Mandarin ($24) onto the cheekbones.

·         Matin then contoured the apples of the cheeks with the Bronzer Veil from Laura Mercier Bonne Mine Healthy Glow for Face & Cheeks Crème Colour Palette ($48). (The Bonne Mine Palette not only provides a healthy, natural glow, but 100 percent of the profits from its sales are donated to the Laura Mercier Ovarian Cancer Fund.)

Lose Baby Weight Like A Celebrity

This is a TotalBeauty.com health article

When it comes to Hollywood’s starlets, the cycle is always the same: The tabloids notify us of a bun in the oven, we start to see baby bumps on the red carpet, and after the unique (read: bizarre) name of the child is finally revealed, we see the same celeb emerge with a flat tummy and svelte figure. The turnover time between being 9 months pregnant and having an enviable post-baby body is so minimal that it’s downright hard to believe. What’s the secret behind rapidly dropping the baby weight? We got the dirt on the health and fitness regimens of our favorite celeb mommies. And while we can't afford a live-in trainer or personal chef, there are a few tactics that everyone can try.
