New Year's Eve 2014 beauty trend: what to wear!

 Okay Gorgeous
Christmas was an amazing time and now it's time to clean up and get ready for a New Year's Eve party to remember!

What to wear:
The new 2014 Pantone color of the year is: Orchid. So it's a good idea to start the Gregorian year off right by wearing the signature color of the year. Choose a lipstick, accessory or fashion in this tone.

Now in my opinion, I love a deep eggplant purple, this very light pastel purple should be worn in bits and pieces. Certainly not in large dresses because you could wind up looking like a cousin to Pepto Bismal. Personal opinion though!

Try the Laura Mercier Orchid lipstick: it's the right amount of purply pink to wear without being too pastel for winter.

What it is:
A luxurious medium-to-full-coverage lipstick that gives lips the ultimate in color, texture, and finish.

What it does:
This cream formula envelops lips in rich color with a semi-lustrous finish that lasts six to eight hours. The cushiony, lightweight texture feels comfortable, while pure olive oil and vitamin E nourish lips. Color glides evenly onto lips without skipping, dragging, feathering, or setting into fine lines. You’ll have the appearance of visibly fuller- and younger-looking lips in just one swipe.

What else you need to know:
This lipstick features an elegant, modern case with a metalized finish. This fragrance-free formula is dermatologist- and allergy-tested to minimize the risk of allergy and irritation.

If you feel the need to wear an Orchid toned eyeshadow, try: Bobbi Brown Long Wear Cream Eyeshadow in Cool Lilac. The color is gorgeous and can be layered to be dark and add a thick cat eye line of liquid liner with some Eylure lashes and you are ready for the party!

Okay, if wearing Orchid toned makeup isn't for you but you want to wear the trend for the New Year's Eve party, put a bit of orchid scent perfume on. I think that still counts for the trend, don't you? Try this:

Eternity Purple Orchid by Calvin Klein is a floral woody musk fragrance for women. The noses behind this fragrance are Pascal Gaurin and Sophia Grojsman. Top notes are floral notes, fruity notes, green notes and water lily; middle notes are plum, freesia, white peach, heliotrope and orchid; base notes are woodsy notes, almond and musk. Eternity Purple Orchid was launched in 2003. *Since this fragrance is a bit older, you may want to check ebay or Amazon for stock!

Finally, let's talk fashion-Orchid party dress! I found this on Pinterest, oh how I would love to be wearing this on New Year's Eve! I will be at Legoland with my family and then on to San Diego. Which, I suppose I could wear it to the New Year's Day brunch also?

What do you think? What are you wearing for New Years Eve 2014?
